About

Elizabeth Buehring

Photography has been a passion of mine for years. I was originally drawn to it when I was in grade school, taking pictures of everything in sight, but it blossomed in college when I wanted to take a different sort of art class. Instead, I fell head over heels in love with the camera and the dark room. I was at the photo lab nonstop and ended up changing my major to something I loved to do and never grew tired of (even with the endless hours taking photos and processing). headshot-lizPhotography is what I decided to pursue full time, and I graduated from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, with a Bachelors in Photography and a Minor in Visual Art.

I moved to Las Vegas over ten years ago, but have decided to replant myself back to the place I have always considered my true home: Texas. Nothing makes me happier than to be back in the place where I grew up and where my heart never left. Though my base is in the Houston area, I am available throughout Texas and for domestic or international destinations. My passport is always ready!

As far as my photography abilities, I am an enthusiast for using natural light whenever possible and I oftentimes shoot in the style of photojournalism. I’m not specifically dialed into one style aspect of photography like some professionals therefore I consider myself a strong generalist. Most everything I photograph now is digital since the days of film have sadly trickled away, but in my personal time I will still pull out my Hasselblad for a vibrant film look or my Holga for nostalgic, fun reasons. However, traditional film photography can be requested for its classic style to add to any wedding, engagement or senior session.  Take a look at some of these types of photos in the personal photography section.
